We see a future where Ghanaian students compete on equal footing with peers from Silicon Valley, where rural schools have better labs than urban ones did a decade ago, and where STEAM careers are as aspirational as medicine or law.
Our Journey
From a spark of an idea to a nationwide movement
The Spark
Ed Emporia was founded with a simple belief: every child deserves access to quality STEAM education. Our first pilot program launched in 3 schools across Accra.
First STEAM Hub
We built and launched our first digital learning platform, reaching 500 students with interactive gamified content. The response exceeded every expectation.
Going National
Expansion to Kumasi and Tamale. We hosted our first national hackathon with 100 participants and deployed our first 10 STEAM PODs.
Industry Partnerships
Formal partnerships with 15 schools and 5 industry leaders. The Pre-University STEAM program launched, placing 90% of graduates into jobs within 6 months.
Acceleration
50+ STEAM PODs operational. The Career Spotlight program reached 2,000 students. We began exploring expansion into neighboring West African countries.
The Future
Today we are a full-service STEAM education ecosystem. From digital platforms to physical labs, from primary school to career placement, we cover the entire journey.

Co-Founder & CEO
Former research scientist turned education entrepreneur. Leads strategy, partnerships, and the vision for Ed Emporia's growth across Africa.
Kwame Asante
Co-Founder & Education Manager
Curriculum designer and former classroom teacher with 12 years of experience. Oversees all learning content and pedagogical strategy.
Naa Oyoe Quartey
Chief Operating Officer
Operations specialist who ensures every program runs smoothly. Manages deployments, partnerships, and the day-to-day scaling of our impact.
Kofi Biney
Head of Technology
Full-stack architect and former startup CTO. Built the STEAM Hub platform and leads all technical innovation at Ed Emporia.

Hackathon veteran and community builder. Designs our competition formats, mentors students, and manages the accelerator pipeline.
